Job description:

We require a professional, dedicated person to work as part of our extremely busy Snap-on Tools sales network. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing and selling Snap-on goods to end user customers within an assigned geographical territory by taking our showroom on wheels (7.2T Vehicle) to the customers place of work.

This is a sales position and the successful candidate will be required to build the customer base and confidence within a geographical area in preparation for a Franchisee to takeover. They will visit their dedicated list of customers on a weekly basis in order to make sales and service ongoing requirements. They will be responsible for promoting and upselling new products, processing repairs and warranties in order to obtain optimal market share, as well as trialling new product ranges before national launch.

Here at Snap-on, our customers have a variety of ways to purchase Snap-on products. In order to make it affordable to the customer, items are typically sold via two means of credit facilities. As such, the candidate will also need strong collection skills in order to take payments, as well as making the sale.

They will also be responsible for managing and controlling inventory levels and banking of takings whilst maintaining high standards within the mobile store in way of merchandising, stock display and cleanliness.

The successful candidate will be required help recruit prospect names within the territory to ultimately purchase the Franchisee, as the position would then move to an alternative commutable territory.

Additionally, the candidate will need to be highly organised, comfortable in managing high levels of administration and computer systems to improve the business performance.

For this challenging role we require a person who has a vested interest in sales, excellent verbal communication skills, as well as effective negotiating skills. They will have admirable interpersonal skills, strong core values and enjoy interacting with customers in order to build relationships and upsell. They will be expected to plan and prioritise their workload, be dependable, and at all times have a flexible, passionate approach to work. Experience in a fast paced sales environment or in on-the-job/technical training would be advantageous.

Due to the nature of this position, all candidates would be required to complete credit and DBS checks, if successful at interview stage.

This is not a typical 9-5 role, it is a permanent position and will require full time, flexible working hours, with no ability of remote working.
